Database Administrator

At this exciting time at Meta, we are looking
for a Database Administrator to help
maintain our growing database environments.

Responsibilities include…

• Technical support, problem diagnosis and resolution

• Pro-active monitoring, maintenance and performance tuning of database servers

• Documentation of current environment and planning for future growth

• Working with developers on database design and optimization issues

Top candidates will possess…

• Solid SQL knowledge and database administration experience under recent releases of both Oracle and
  MS SQL Server, including:

• database architecture and fundamentals
• backup/recovery administration and planning
• server configuration, maintenance and tuning
• ANSI SQL and query optimization techniques

• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills

• Experience using scripting to automate functions and processes

• Working knowledge of Windows administration

A plus…

• Familiarity with Linux

• Knowledge of HIM or the software industry

Required attributes…

• Good written and verbal communication skills

• Ability to prioritize while working independently on multiple projects

Note: We are willing to train recent graduates who have an appropriate background but not the level of experience we’re requesting.
