Meta eSignature Solution Benefits MedScribe Transcription Clients
New York, NY — Meta Health Technology announced that its PowerSign electronic signature solution has been implemented at four hospital clients of MedScribe Information Systems.
Through a reseller relationship with Meta, MedScribe offers electronic signature in addition to transcription services to its hospital clients. When physicians log on to the MedScribe server, they can now view and edit their transcriptions and sign them electronically.

For MedScribe, there were two critical factors in their decision to work with Meta. “We chose Meta because of the excellent functionality and ease of use, and because of Meta's ability to integrate their product seamlessly with ours,” says John Langley, CEO of MedScribe.
Meta's PowerSign product is a web-based application that provides a highly secure, HIPAA-compliant method for signing patient documents from any web-enabled computer. There is no need to install software at individual hospitals, because all information is centralized on the secure MedScribe web site, easily accessible to authorized physicians and HIM staff. In addition to signing, PowerSign enables physicians to edit the documents, insert missing words and add an entire addendum, if necessary. The application also keeps an audit trail of all changes made, so that users can always view or print the latest version of the document.
